About Craicko
Local recommendations that actually get used
Guests ask hosts where to eat. Hosts have a short list. Shops want those visits to land at the till — not disappear into a generic map. Craicko is the QR in the middle.
The story
Paper stamp cards get lost. Discount codes get forwarded to the wrong people. A guest in a B&B still ends up searching “best restaurant nearby” and picking whoever paid for ads.
The useful list was always the host’s: the café they send people to, the burger place, the pub after a walk. Craicko started so that list could live on one QR — in the room, at reception, or on a welcome card — and so the shop could honour a real offer when someone arrived.
We’re building it first for Ireland: members who visit often, shops that scan at the till, and hosts who already recommend locally.
The mission
Make a local visit simple and fair. Hosts recommend. Guests see the pick and, where there is one, a live offer. Staff scan a QR. The visit is recorded. Loyalty and rewards stay with the person who showed up.
